Driving Directions:
From downtown Reno and points east: Take I-80 west to West McCarran, go left on McCarran. Take a right on West Fourth St. Follow W. Fourth St. 2 miles to Woodland St. Take a left, cross the railroad tracks, then take your first left on White Fir St. We are the last driveway on the left before the cul-de-sac. Enter into the parking lot with the Interpretive Gardens sign.

From North Lake Tahoe/Truckee: Take I-80 east to exit 8 (West 4th Street). Follow W. 4th St. for one mile until you see Woodland St. Take a right, cross the railroad tracks, then take your first left onto White Fir St. We are located down the road on the left hand side just before the cul-de-sac. Look for the Interpretive Gardens sign.

Public Transportation :
Citifare bus number 3 will get you to the corner of McCarran Blvd. and 4th Street. From there it is 2.3 miles to the River School either on your bike or by foot.
